St. Baldrick's Foundation

Daisy Mae’s Cafe is a local spot in Springfield, Ga opened Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm.They are greatly known for their mouth watering chicken and potato salad sandwiches. You’ll feel right at home sitting at their dining tables while enjoying a cold glass of sweet tea and get your sweet tooth fix with their chocolate delight dessert!

While meeting with Vicki, owner of the cafe, I had asked her if they were participating in any events or fundraisers this year. That’s when she introduced me to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation charity that she has been help raising money for and will be a part of.

It hit close to home with us as we recently discovered that our aunt was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. It’s not something that you think will happen to you or someone in your family. No one wants to hear that a loved one has this disease. We will not let cancer take over these children’s or our family’s lives. We can beat this and you can help.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteered- powered charity where the funds are used for childhood cancer research. Vicki Burns is a team captain in the event held in Savannah City Market on March 25th from 12pm-5pm. She is shaving her hair to raise awareness and money for childhood cancer research with the #Jacobstrong team. Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. Help fund the research that will save their lives by donating through Vicki’s link or by stopping by Daisy Mae’s Cafe. You can also get involved by volunteering your time during this event!

If you would like to donate here is the link to do so!
